Some highlights:


  • The Alliance Theatre launches the  world premiere musical, Becoming Nancy, Sept 6th – Oct 6th.  Come hear what happens when a talented 12th grade male is cast as a leading female in the suburbs of London circa 1979.  “A huge-hearted new musical that weaves a story of family bonds, first loves, and the courage it takes to find your own spotlight “
  • Some special queer events this month: 
    • 7 Stages will be presenting Sean Dorsey Dance’s Boys in Trouble, dealing with contemporary masculinity Sept 12th – Sept 15th.
    • Out Front Theatre will be hosting its fundraising Rainbow Ball on Saturday, Sept 21st.
    • On Sunday, Sept 22nd, Onstage Atlanta will be hosting  a special event, Comedy Tonight, with gay and gay-friendly comics.
    • On Sept 30th, Theatrical Outfit will do a staged reading of The Laramie Project: Ten Years Later, a follow-up to The Laramie Project.
